Focus 1: Battery Legislation

The first and most important policy focus for EBRA is about the revision process of the battery directive and linked legislations.

The battery directive (BD) is currently undergoing a major revision. The authorities and stakeholders have already contributed to the preparatory work. 

The first draft of the new battery regulation was published in the winter 2020. This draft will be subject to review by the European Parliament, The Council and member states. Stakeholders will also have the possibility to express their views on the new proposed requirements.
